Why We Created Culture & Legacy

Some of our greatest treasures aren't found in museums. They're found around the dinner table, tucked inside handwritten recipe cards, shared at family reunions, and remembered every time someone says, "Remember when..."

Culture & Legacy was created to celebrate the everyday traditions that make every family unique. The recipes we cook without measuring, the songs we sing together, the stories we've heard a hundred times, the nicknames that only our family understands, and the moments that become part of who we are. These are the memories that connect generations and remind us where we belong.

As those stories are shared, they become part of something even bigger. They are passed from parents to children, from grandparents to grandchildren, carrying love, laughter, resilience, and tradition into the next generation. Because every family has a story worth remembering, and every legacy begins at home.

I've always loved flipping through old family photo albums, laughing around the dinner table, listening to stories that somehow get better every time they're told, and getting lost in a great book about Black history or the Black experience. Every design begins with a story. My hope is that wearing them reminds you of your own story, too.
