Why We Created Grace & Glory

Some of our most meaningful memories begin with the church doors opening on Sunday morning.

Grace & Glory was created to honor the faith, traditions, and community that have carried generations of families through life's greatest joys and hardest moments. For our family, church was never just a place we went. It was where we sang in the choir, stood proudly in Christmas plays, attended Sunday school, gathered for revivals, and celebrated family reunions with worship at the center. It was where faith became part of everyday life.

The Black church has long been a foundation of hope, strength, and community, and that legacy continues to inspire us today. This collection celebrates the prayers whispered, the songs sung, the hands held, and the unwavering faith that reminds us we are never alone. Because when faith is passed from one generation to the next, it becomes more than a belief. It becomes a legacy.

Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church is where I sang in the choir, attended Sunday School, and learned the faith that still guides me today. I remember the hymnals in the back of the church pews, my mom in her white usher dress, my grandmother in her church hat, and my dad leading altar prayer. Those memories became Grace & Glory.
